Aan: de besturen van de deelnemende koren aan en beoordelaars van het concours te IJsselstein op 6 oktober 2018.

Betreft: annulering concours 6 oktober 2018 te IJsselstein
Geachte besturen en heren beoordelaars,
Tot onze grote spijt hebben de besturen van het KNZV vMN en Fulco’s Mannenkoor te IJsselstein op donderdag 7 juni jl., in goed overleg moeten besluiten het voor 6 oktober a.s. geplande concours voor bij het KNZV aangesloten mannenkoren te annuleren.
Door een te lage deelname van koren uit KNZV-vMN en de andere KNZV regio’s, waarvan tot op heden geen aanmeldingen zijn ontvangen, is het risico van een financieel debacle te groot voor alle organiserende partijen. De totale kosten voor dit concours bleken uit te komen op tussen de
€ 6.000,— en € 7.000,—. Iets teveel voor zeven koren.Het KNZV vMN had als bijdrage aan dit concours een bedrag ad. € 3.500,— gereserveerd.
Naar onze gezamenlijke overtuiging zijn de kansen op concreet en reëel succes bij een eventueel beroep op een bijdrage van bestaande fondsen te marginaal, om hierop korte termijn een positieve reactie op te verwachten.
Beide betrokken besturen betreuren ten zeerste het besluit om het concours te annuleren te hebben moeten nemen, maar vertrouwen, tegen de hiervoor geschetste achtergrond, op uw begrip.
